MAd Photos and Illustrations

“Hi there, I am a freelance artist based in London. I work with illustrations and photography and this month I had the pleasure to work with Mery and to decorate her atelier! -and yes we have the same name!”

Mery is a graduated graphic designer and photographer, however during the pandemic she found that illustration is what helps her unite the two mediums while maintaining her own signature style.

“While graphic design pushed me to consider shapes, photography pushed me to understand lights and shadows. In illustrations I get to represent my creativity. I am still at the first stages of mastering digital art but I have been drawing since I was in high school.’’

She takes inspiration from animations like Hilda, perspectives like those of Toulouse-Lautrec’s drawing and colours like Tamara de Lempicka’s early paintings.
